This was my favorite space in my old house. It was tucked in the corner of my little kitchen. I loved it because it was the one place in the house that I could call my own. My husband had his own office, the kids didn't want to be in the kitchen, and I was always in the kitchen so it was perfect for me. I love using vintage items for storage. They look great and are fun to collect. Old little green tackle boxes filled with necessities fit perfectly in the mail slots.

ReplyDeleteI love your black and white kitchen. Do you miss it so? Our tastes are similar. I would have done the desk space just like you did! Is that a Pottery Barn vintage style phone?? If it is, I have the same one in Black in my kitchen! I also think you can NEVER have too much bead board paneling!

It's always nice to have a place you can go be by yourself. Usually for me it's my computer desk and headphones playing classical music. It helps me drown out the world and write.
